Terms of Use

RoboGNSS ("we") provides hosted GNSS correction management: an NTRIP caster, stream health monitoring, RINEX archives, and related tools, available at robognss.com and app.robognss.com. These terms are the agreement between you and RoboGNSS for using any of it. If you create an account or use the service, you are agreeing to them. How we handle your data is covered separately in our privacy policy.

The most important part: this is not a safety system

RTK corrections end up steering tractors, flying drones, and guiding machines that move earth. We build RoboGNSS carefully and we do everything we can to keep it up and accurate — but we do not guarantee that it will be. A stream can drop, arrive late, carry a bad position, or stop entirely, and we may pause or terminate a stream ourselves for the reasons described below.

So: do not rely on RoboGNSS as the sole safeguard in any application where a missing, delayed, or wrong correction could injure someone or damage property. Anything that moves people, carries a payload over people, or cuts, digs, or drives near them must have its own independent safety checks — geofences, RTK-fix-loss handling, operator supervision, whatever your application calls for — that do not depend on our service behaving. If losing corrections would turn into an accident rather than a pause, the safety logic has to live on your side.

We are not designed, tested, or certified for use as a component of a safety-of-life, aviation, medical, or life-support system, and you agree not to use the service as one.

What RoboGNSS does

You run a GNSS base station. Your receiver pushes its correction stream (RTCM) to a private mountpoint on our caster, and you mint credentials for your own rovers to pull it back down. We monitor the stream's health, archive its raw observations for your plan's retention period so you can download RINEX later, and — on paid plans — pull streams from other casters you have rights to and forward your stream onward to third-party casters such as Onocoy, RTK2go, or any NTRIP destination you choose.

Your account

• Sign-in is handled by Clerk. You are responsible for keeping your login, upload tokens, and rover credentials private. Anything done with your credentials counts as done by you; revoke or rotate them from the dashboard if you think they have leaked.
• You must be at least 18 years old, or otherwise legally able to enter into this agreement, to use the service.
• One account per person or organization. If you need team accounts, that is an Enterprise conversation — email us.

Your data stays yours

You own the correction streams, raw observations, RINEX files, station configuration, and anything else you push to or generate on RoboGNSS. We do not claim any rights over it. What we do is process it at your direction: relay it to your rovers, archive it if you have archiving on, convert it when you ask for RINEX, and forward it to the destinations you configure. We look at stream and connection metadata to keep the service healthy, to bill correctly, and to detect abuse; the specifics are in the privacy policy. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Forwarding and pull sources

Forwarding your stream to another caster, and pulling a stream from another caster into RoboGNSS, are paid-plan features. Both come with a condition you have already seen in the app, because every forward asks you to confirm it before it is created or redirected:

I certify that I own this data or am legally permitted to forward it to this destination.

That confirmation is part of these terms too. You may only forward or pull data that you own or are permitted to redistribute. Public casters, state CORS networks, commercial correction services, and other people's Onocoy stations all have their own terms; it is your job to know them and follow them, not ours. We record your confirmation with a timestamp on the forward, and if a destination network tells us a stream reaching them through us is not what it claims to be, we will act on it — see "Flags, verification, and enforcement" below.

Forwards to Onocoy additionally require a receiver-control verification (a prescribed temporary height change at the receiver that only someone who controls the antenna can perform) and are limited to streams pushed directly from your receiver; pulled streams cannot be forwarded to Onocoy.

Things you may not do

• Relay, rebroadcast, or forward correction data you do not own or do not have permission to redistribute.
• Misrepresent a station — its position, its identity, its station ID, or whether the stream is actually coming from the antenna you say it is.
• Register one physical receiver several times, or route the same stream to a destination by several paths, to multiply rewards or evade a destination's rules.
• Work around plan limits, the receiver-control verification, or anything else the service enforces.
• Share rover credentials or mountpoints beyond what your plan allows, or resell access to your caster.
• Attack the service or other users' streams, scrape or probe other people's mountpoints, or send us traffic that is not a GNSS stream.
• Use the service for anything illegal where you are or where the service runs.

Flags, verification, and enforcement

Every stream we ingest is checked continuously: broadcast position against declared position, position movement between messages (the signature of a relayed network solution), and in-stream station ID against the one you declared. Anomalies are recorded as flags on your station and shown to you in your dashboard. Flags by themselves are advisory — we will not silently cut a stream because of one.

Beyond that, we may — with or without notice, depending on how serious it is — revoke a receiver-control verification, block a forward from reconnecting, pause a station, or terminate a forward, stream, or account when a stream looks relayed, duplicated, or misrepresented, when a destination network reports a problem with it, or when an account is otherwise breaking these terms. Where it is practical we will tell you why, and you can email us to dispute it.

Plans, billing, and downgrades

The free plan gives you a complete private caster for one base station, and it stays free. Paid plans (Pro, Fleet, and Enterprise) add bases, rovers, forwarding, and pull sources; the current limits and prices are on the pricing page and are enforced by the caster itself. Subscriptions are billed by card through Clerk Billing with Stripe underneath; we never store your card details. There are no contracts, and you can cancel anytime.

If you downgrade or cancel, you keep your paid plan's features until the end of the billing period you already paid for — nothing changes mid-cycle. After that, nothing is deleted and no settings are lost: anything over the new plan's limits is paused (your oldest bases, credentials, and forwards stay active), and resubscribing reactivates paused items automatically, exactly as you left them.

Prices may change; we will announce any change before it takes effect on an existing subscription. Refund terms: to be published before these terms take effect.

Archives and retention

If archiving is on, we store your station's raw observations for your plan's retention period and serve them back to you as RINEX from your dashboard. Retention differs by plan: 7 days on Free, 30 days on Pro, and 90 days on Fleet. Observations older than your retention period are pruned and cannot be recovered, so download what you need to keep.

Free tools and the RINEX converter

The survey point shifter, RINEX position updater, and photo GPS shifter run entirely in your browser; your files never leave your device and no account is needed. The RINEX converter is different: it runs on our servers, needs a free account, and accepts files up to 50 MB. A file you submit is uploaded, converted, and deleted right away — never stored, inspected, or shared.

The tools are offered as a convenience and without warranty. Check the output before you trust it, the same way you would with any processing step in a survey.

Availability and changes to the service

We aim to keep RoboGNSS running around the clock, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service, and we do not offer an uptime commitment on self-serve plans (Enterprise customers may have an SLA in their own agreement). We may change, add, or retire features, and we may suspend the service for maintenance, security, or reasons outside our control. If we ever shut down a feature that holds your data, we will give you a reasonable chance to export it first.

Warranty and liability

The service is provided as-is and as-available. While we do everything possible to offer a robust service, we make no warranty that it will be available, accurate, timely, or fit for any particular purpose, and everything in "The most important part" above applies here in full.

To the extent the law allows, RoboGNSS is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, crop damage, equipment damage, or personal injury arising from your use of — or inability to use — the service. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these limits, so some may not apply to you.

You agree to cover us against claims from third parties that arise from your breach of these terms — in particular, from forwarding or relaying data you did not have the right to redistribute.

Ending your account

You can stop using RoboGNSS at any time. Deleting a source removes its credentials immediately; deleting your account removes your data within 30 days, as described in the privacy policy. Email support@robognss.com if you want a copy of your data first.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we stop offering the service. If we terminate you for abuse — relaying, misrepresentation, or attacks — we may do so immediately. If we terminate you for any other reason, we will tell you and give you a reasonable chance to download your archives before they are removed. Sections that by their nature should survive (your data ownership, the warranty and liability terms, and the forwarding responsibility) survive termination.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top; for material changes we will also email the address on your account before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the new terms.
