NTRIP Caster Setup with ChatGPT and Claude

Give your assistant the base's declared position and datum, the reference frame those coordinates use. It can create the base and return the exact caster host, port, mountpoint, username, and password for the receiver's NTRIP server settings.
You still enter those settings into the receiver; the assistant does not control the hardware. Once the receiver starts sending, ask it to check the stream, create a rover login, and test that login against the live caster.
That is the useful handoff in RTK base station setup: the agent prepares the service, you configure the equipment, and you check the result together. The free NTRIP caster plan includes one base slot, so you can start with a single base.
The same connection helps after setup. Before a survey, robot run, or day in the tractor, ask which bases need attention. A login test can distinguish bad credentials, a missing mountpoint, an offline base, and a stream delivering data. That can narrow the search before someone makes an unnecessary trip.
